Working towards the recognition and change of the racial power imbalance so adversely impacting on racialised communities. It is not merely the absence of racial discrimination and structural barriers- intentional or otherwise- but the eradication of historical myths and orientalist discourse whilst recognising the oppressive legacy of slavery, colonialism, white privilege power constructs that denies, minimises or demeans racialised experiences, capabilities and ambitions.

Suicide Prevention is the collective effort to reduce risks of an individual taking their own life. This can be achieved through reducing access to means, promoting support campaigns, tackling mental health issues earlier, raising awareness amongst other things. Suicide is a public health issue with a whole population approach.
These are communities who have been referred to in the past as minority ethnic, Black and minority ethnic and are made up of our diverse communities of colour.
The Police collate this data and some use real time suicide surveillance systems (RTSS) to record local deaths by suicide. British Transport Police (BTP) also collect statistics for deaths by suicide on railways.
This is the term used when a person takes their own life and the circumstance is under investigating by the Police. The Coriner, at Inquest, determines whether a death is suicide or not by listening to all the evidence and arriving at a conclusion.
